Breathe: Hall and Giles
Livestream Online

We invite you all to join us for the upcoming original online performance of BREATHE, a play developed by UGA Institute for Women's Studies graduate student alum, Angela Hall, and directed by Institute for African American Studies Professor Emerita, Dr. Freda Scott Giles. Livestream performances to take place as part of the UGA Spotlight on the Arts in November 2020. For more info: https://arts.uga.edu/spotlight-on-the-arts/

This unique, original theatre experience exploring the Black Lives Matter movement will see its development influenced by both its writer and the cast, responding in real time to the events that surround us daily. Livestream performances of the production will be held Nov. 5 through 9 and Nov. 11 through 13.

Support African American Studies at UGA

The Institute defines support in diverse ways to give you as many options as possible to assist in our mission. We consider “friend-raising" as important as fund-raising. Your financial contributions and support help us to develop and strengthen our programs and offerings, both on campus and in the community.

Your gift makes a big difference. Learn more about how you can donate today.

Study within African American cultural history provides a basis for understanding political, social, and economic relations throughout human history.
