Virtual Mid-Semester Check In
Zoom

On behalf of Dr. Medine, Director of the Institute for African American Studies, you all are invited to a Virtual Mid-Semester Check In! Please click the image above or go here to register for the Zoom link. This is an excellent chance to engage with graduate students and undergraduate students in the Institute, learn about Academic Advising in IAAS, and connect with some of our Faculty and Ms. Kendra Freeman. Ms. Freeman works with Dr. Feracho, Associate Director of IAAS, on meeting with students for Academic Advising, and she keeps everything running for the Institute! If you have any questions for our Director, Ms. Freeman, or our Faculty, this is your chance to ask them.

Interested in learning more about courses or a major, minor, or graduate certificate in African American Studies? We welcome and encourage prospective students to tune in! Please respond with any questions, and don’t forget to register.

Support African American Studies at UGA

The Institute defines support in diverse ways to give you as many options as possible to assist in our mission. We consider “friend-raising" as important as fund-raising. Your financial contributions and support help us to develop and strengthen our programs and offerings, both on campus and in the community.

Your gift makes a big difference. Learn more about how you can donate today.

Study within African American cultural history provides a basis for understanding political, social, and economic relations throughout human history.
